81-Year-Old Man Viciously Attacked Inside San Antonio Texas Mall

An extremely graphic video reveals the moment an 81-year-old man was viciously attacked in a Texas mall.

A DRESSING ROOM MIX-UP

The entire ordeal began after an elderly man inside Dillard's at the North Star Mall, was looking for a dressing room to try on a sweater. He first goes into a handicap dressing room, which he thought was empty. 

"He thought it was empty... a handicap changing room," said San Antonio Police Detective Rodney Franklin.

There may have been a female may have been inside the changing room, so the elderly man went to find another dressing room. According to reports, the female inside the dressing room ran to find her mother and another man. The trio then began looking for the elderly man which is caught on video. 

ELDERLY MAN GETS ATTACKED ON ESCALATOR

Dillard's surveillance footage captures the moment the elderly man was getting onto the escalator. A man is then seen rushing towards the elderly man from behind and vigorously yanking him down the escalator.

The elderly man looks stunned and hurt, as he lies face-down injured on the moving escalator, the group then walks away. The 81-year-old man struck his face on the way down, broke his finger, and bruised his ribs, among other lacerations.

SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED

The horrifying event allegedly stemmed from an honest mistake from the elderly man. The suspect who attacked the elderly man was identified as 31-year-old Daymein Garcia, who was arrested for serious bodily injury to the elderly on Monday.
