Some startling news out of 'Good Morning America.'

Amy Robach, a reporter for ABC's popular morning program, has learned she has breast cancer.

Robach, 40, recently learned her diagnosis after undergoing an on-air mammogram last month during the show's campaign to promote breast cancer awareness.

After she underwent the mammogram, doctors called Robach for more tests, which revealed she did in fact have breast cancer. Robach, who has no family history associated with the disease, summed up the fight in front of her by saying, "It's still hard for me to say the words out loud. I have breast cancer."

Later this week, Robach will go into the hospital for a bilateral mastectomy. She's having reconstructive surgery after that.
