Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's upcoming movie By The Sea finally has a trailer to go with it, and it looks appropriately depressing.

The movie, which was written and directed by Angelina, follows an estranged couple vacationing at a seaside resort in France in the 1970s. There's a lot of crying, aggression, sadness and overt misery in the minute-long trailer, perfectly showcasing the characters' ridiculously unhappy marriage.

Angelina commented on shooting such intense scenes with Brad and the way the staff must have felt behind-the-scenes. She said (via US Weekly), “I’d be directing myself and him in a scene where we’re having a fight, and I’d be pulling out the parts [of him] that have an aggression toward me or when you’re frustrated with each other — it was very heavy. We kept joking that all of the crew felt like they were living in a house where the parents were fighting and you don’t know where to stand or where to look.”

She continued, talking about how she approaches directing a movie, saying, "I think people watch how you present yourself. If you come in and you’re there to roll up your sleeves and work hard, you’ve got a lot of ideas and you’re there to help solve problems, then you become that person to them.”

By The Sea is set for a November 13 release date, but in the meantime you can check out the trailer for the movie above.
