A very special group of kids will be headed to Walt Disney World this fall for the trip of a lifetime! The annual Kidd's Kids Trip to Florida in November takes a group of very special children to have the time of their life along with their family without the worry of expenses.

Children that have a chronic or terminal illness are treated to a five day excursion that is completely paid for by the listeners of The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show and Mix 93-1. The trip is very special because it is inclusive of the entire family unit, meaning, parents and any brothers or sisters at home get to go on the trip to kind of escape some part of their reality for a few days.

The whole family unit benefits from this time of bonding, learning, laughing and enjoying each other. Joining the families on the trip are specialized doctors and nurses who assist these families with their medical needs while on the trip (because their illness doesn’t go away while on the trip).

If you know of a child that has a chronic or terminal illness and is between the ages of 5 and 12, you may nominate them. You can download the application from the Kidd’s Kids website and nominate your special child for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, July 7th. This years’ trip is scheduled for November 16th thru 20th.

Last year Mix 93-1 was at the Kidd’s Kids Send Off Party at the hanger at Southwest Airlines in Dallas to see the kids from East Texas and their family head off on the chartered plane bound for the land of the giant mouse ears to have a lot of fun! Mix 93-1’s Lucky Larry and Mandee Montana look forward to helping send off several more Kidd’s Kids from right here in East Texas this year too!
