Ariana Grande has responded to Kanye West's recent assertion that she was using his venting session on Twitter as a means to promote her new music.

On Saturday (Dec. 15), she hopped on Twitter and addressed the misunderstanding. "With all due respect, i don't need to use anyone to promote anything. period," she replied. "I was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today."

When a Twitter user urged her to retract her apology on the grounds that she did nothing wrong, Grande replied, "For potentially triggering him? nah regardless of how i feel about a situation, i can also care about their mental health."

Finally, the pop star tweeted, "Last thing. Stop weaponizing mental health. Everyone."

Yeezy called Grande out Saturday morning after she referred to him venting about his issues with Drake and Travis Scott on Twitter as nothing more than "grown men arguing online."

"I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me," Kanye tweeted, followed by, "People will no longer take mental health for a joke."

He added, "@ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song."
