Still don’t have a costume for Halloween? You might want to hurry since the big day is less than a week away.
To help out a little, TV.com has a bunch of ideas for costumes inspired by TV characters. Some are kinda lame (going as Barney from ‘How I Met Your Mother’ means you’re basically just a dude in a nice suit), but there are some you could have fun with. In addition to ‘The Walking Dead’ (above), here are the five best we found from the list.
It’s probably no surprise that Fox’s ‘American Idol’ tops the list for shows where it costs the most for companies to buy advertising. But it probably is shocking that the show giving them a run for their ad money isn’t another reality show or even ‘Two and a Half Men;’ it’s NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football.’
Lately, Ben Affleck gets behind the camera a lot more than he does in front of it, and his next project may have him directing a Stephen King novel.
Deadline.com is reporting that Affleck is in talks to direct Warner Brothers’ big screen version of King’s novel ‘The Stand.’ No word on who will star in the new version of the book. In fact, it’s not even confirmed by the studio or Affleck that he’s even in talks to direct the film.
The Occupy Wall Street protests are going strong in several cities, and now famous names are starting to get involved.
Gothamist reports that hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons guided Kanye West through the crowds of the Occupy protest in New York City’s Zuccotti Park on Monday afternoon, but their brush with the front lines of class warfare didn’t last long. After a brief cameo, both Simmons and West got into a car and left.
It may come as a shock to some people, but a lot of what you see on reality shows is — gasp! — fake. So, it’s probably not a surprise that people are saying that the latest news from one of the stars of Bravo’s ‘Bethenny Ever After’ and ‘Real Housewives’ franchise might not be true, either.
Bethenny Frankel has been making the media rounds, telling the story of how she and her husband were lost at sea off of Nantucket for 21 hours. The only problem with the story is that the man who, ahem, “rescued” her, Tim Russell, tells the Jewish Journal that she didn’t need to be rescued at all, because the boat she was on was functioning fine.
On Sunday, Patti Stanger, the star of Bravo’s reality show ‘Millionaire Matchmaker,’ made some rather controversial comments about gay men on the live Bravo talk show show ‘Watch What Happens,’ saying “in the gay world, there is always going to be open relationships.”
She added that she thinks “there is no curbing the gay,” while she also told a caller, who identified himself as being gay, that she “tried to curb you people.” On Monday night, she started to make the apology rounds.
As we told you last week, ‘Moneyball’ actor Jonah Hill mentioned on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ that he overheard ‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison talking (and laughing) about him at the Fox upfront presentation.
Well, last night, Morrison answered Hill’s complaints. But instead of apologizing to Hill, he actually made fun of the complaint…and challenged Hill to a duel on Fallon’s show.
