The Elf on the Shelf—whether you find him cute, annoying or somewhere in between, he's everywhere these days, making the holiday season even more complicated for parents. We did a little investigating on this elusive creature that has become a phenomenon, and discovered a few things we didn't expect.
By now everyone's seen at least one hilarious singing-and-dancing creation from the gang at JibJab. They’re the ones who make short, animated clips set to music onto which you can insert your own head, or the heads of your friends and loved ones, and then watch as your animated mouth opens and closes in time with the beat.
It’s funny and disturbing at the same time. In this day and age, one of the highest compliments you can pay a person is to JibJab them for all eternity.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that being a telemarketer isn’t the best job ever. Often you are interrupting people at bad times, offering them things they don’t want, encouraged to be pushy and then get hung up on pretty much all the time. This comes with the job. Which means, you shouldn’t threaten to bomb their homes when it happens. Unless they’ve changed how it’s done.
The school buses are running again, and the kids are out of the house. Finally. With the end of the far-too-long summer break, this return to school days can leave you with a little extra time on your hands during the day, right? Well, maybe not too much, but your daily schedule should ease up a bit, so now what do you do? You get back on the Internet, that’s what.
All the orphans from the movie ‘Annie’ lived a hard knock life — considering audience members really only gave their two-cents to the title character — and were always looking forward to tomorrow. By the end of the flick, it looked like they had a brighter future, but what really happened to those orphans from the 1982 movie ‘Annie’?
Somehow another summer has flown by and the kiddos are headed back to school again. Sure, that means vacations are over, the house will be empty and days at the pool are numbered. But what it also means is that it’s time to shop for supplies.
It was another good week for both of Jennifer Nettles’ duets partners on ‘Duets.’ J. Rome and John Glosson ended up in the first and second spots on the charts after two very strong performances. Nettles’ partners have dominated throughout the show and continued to do so tonight.
Sometimes, when the hot rod is leaving the garage, you have to grease up the gears a bit to make her purr. Especially if your chosen hot rod is a 60-year-old woman. But, before you get out the lube, make sure you’re both on the same page about what you’re going to use and who’s going to participate, otherwise someone could end up in jail.
Even though you love your kids dearly and want to spend time with them, the months that kids are out of school can be the longest of the year for any parent. The key to a peaceful summer household is keeping the kids busy and entertained.
Put down the Rocky Mountain Oysters for a moment, because you don’t want to be eating when you find out what this North Carolina woman was arrested for doing to a (now former) friend of hers. You may also want to think twice about picking those “oysters” back up afterwards.
Admit it — at some point, you have wondered what you would look like with a different hairstyle, or if you were older, or if you were a zombie, or had any other random trait you can think of. Enter the internet and the world of mobile apps. With these fun apps, the possibilities of seeing yourself as someone else are limitless.
At the end of the first ‘Duets’ show, both of Kelly Clarkson’s duet partners were both at the bottom of the scoreboard. Her young partner with a grown voice, Jason Farol, ended the night in a disappointing 8th place. Clarkson was sure she could help him do better this week.
