Azealia Banks isn't too happy with Joe Budden and Charlamagne Tha God after the two rap media personalities made Nicki Minaj an addition to their 2017 trash list, which is a list the two put together for Revolt TV's This Year Was Dope/Trash 2017. She clapped back at them on her Instagram story last night (Dec. 27).

But before we get to that, let's take a look at how we got there. During the show, Charlamagne and Joey pointed out Nicki's relative lack of success with singles she dropped earlier this year, including the Drake and Lil Wayne-assisted single, "No Frauds." The two say they've got no problems with the woman they admit is a superstar, but they're pretty ruthless in their criticism.

For his part of the criticism, Charlamagne said, "I can't remember the last time I saw a superstar of Nicki's caliber put out three records at the same time—and by the way—the 'No Frauds' record had the iHeart stimulus package, meaning that you gon' play every hour on the hour on every urban station throughout the country. She might've even been on the pop stations. She had Wayne and Drake on the record. That record didn't go bruh."

Before jumping into his own Nicki-critiques, Budden offered up a disclaimer to Nicki, telling the Young Money MC it's nothing personal. "You cannot have 90 million Instagram followers and put out three records and none of them catch," Budden said after pointing to Nicki's perceived lack of humility as a reason he wasn't pulling any punches.

Now, Banks, who apologized for being "catty" toward Nicki just a little while back, defended Nicki from Budden and Charlamagne's criticisms. Focusing on Budden first, Banks points towards the rapper's own alleged disillusioning experiences in the rap game as a reason he shouldn't be talking about Nicki. Then, she came at both Budden and Charlamagne for what she called an attack on another Black woman.

"But it SERIOUSLY makes me sick to my stomach to see @cthagod and Joe Burden get pleasure from tearing this black woman down because they are LEGIT LYING TO THEMSELVES," she wrote. "Every comparison they make is a FARCE...not cardio [Cardi B] nor remus [Remy Ma] are fucking with nicki on her off day," she continued.
