Cardi B owned the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) when she strutted down the red carpet flaunting her pregnancy—and she apparently revealed to reporters the sex of her baby while doing so.

While doing an interview with the designer of her gown Jeremy Scott for E! News, she was asked if she experienced any kicks from her and Offset's baby while gracing the gala.

"Oh, she wants to fight me!" Cardi says. She went on to describe how she feels about her pregnancy, saying that it's given her a newfound power, energy and drive.

Rumors have circulated that Cardi and Offset were having a girl when Cardi's sister Hennessy Carolina tweeted soon after the pregnancy reveal and referred to the baby as "her." Cardi B managed to keep her pregnancy relatively under wraps for several months before debuting her bump with signature flair during her performance of "Be Careful" on Saturday Night Live.

Fans immediately jumped on Twitter theorizing about what the rap couple might name the child, but it looks like we'll all have to wait and see. Cardi is due sometime this summer, and recently announced that she'll stop touring until September while she takes some time to rest before and after giving birth.

Apart from potentially revealing the sex of her baby at the Met Gala, the evening was already eventful for Cardi B. She and Nicki Minaj put to rest any rumors of beef by sharing a heartwarming moment at the gala, and afterwards, her security team was accused of being involved in a brutal beating of a fan that left him in the hospital.
