Casey Anthony’s defense attorney, Jose Baez, who already has his eye on a gig as a TV legal analyst, reportedly met with a literary agent from Inkwell Management last week in the hopes of also landing a book deal.
The agent, Richard Pine, already represents authors such as Arianna Huffington and James Patterson.

President Obama Ends Ban on Gays in the Military
On Friday, President Obama joined Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Adm. Mike Mullen in formally signing a document certifying that military readiness would not be hurt by allowing gays in the military. The notice will now be sent to Congress.
The action officially repeals the 17-year-old “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy enacted during the Clinton Administration and begins the 60-day waiting period that will lead to a full lift of the ban.

Those who have seen the Academy Award winning film ‘The Social Network’ will remember a scene in which the Winklevoss twins, dressed in suits, meet with then-Harvard President Lawrence Summers to make their case that their fellow classmate, Mark Zuckerberg, had stolen the idea for the social networking website which eventually become Facebook.

The search and rescue group that organized the search for Caylee Anthony has filed a civil suit against her mother, Casey Anthony, to recover money spent in the search to find the girl.
Anthony, 25, was found not guilty in her daughter's 2008 death last week and is scheduled to be released from prison on Sunday after receiving credit for time served on a four-year sentence, CNN reported.

The Westboro Baptist Church is at it again.
The fundamentalist and anti-gay group has announced it will picket the funeral of former first lady Betty Ford, who died last week, because she got divorced before marrying the man who would later become President Gerald Ford. This, the group says, made her an adulterer who "loved to sit with tawdry reporters and blather about sex."
