We all know it's hot in south Texas, and as the drought continues this summer, Victoria city officials are concerned about low water levels in the Guadalupe. As a result, the city is now officially on Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency plan to reduce water usage.

Stage 2 restrictions include limits on water usage for residents including no nonessential water usage outdoors between the hours of 10am and 8pm. According to the mandatory restriction, no automatic sprinklers, no car washing or other vehicles, and no refilling of pools between those hours. Car washing can be done at any time at a professional car wash, either full service or at a self-wash.

These restrictions follow the voluntary stage 1 drought plan enacted in late May.
