Country music star Billy Currington was indicted in Chatham County, Ga. this afternoon (April 24) on charges of making terroristic threats and "abuse of an elderly person," which is pretty much the worst kind of abuse ever.

Police told WSAV News in Savannah that the charges stemmed from an April 15th incident in which Currington got into a shouting match with a guy named Charles Harvey Farrell, who was upset about the crooner and his posse "flocking" to his dock off Tybee Island.

The terrorism charge states that Currington threatened "to cause unlawful bodily harm" to Farrell with the purpose of terrorizing him, while the elder abuse charge claims the singer inflicted "mental anguish" on Farrell, who's over 65 years old.

It's not completely clear what the beef was about or if the two men knew each other prior, but Currington hails from nearby Rincon, Ga.

Billy, who's had six No. 1 hits and sold millions of albums since his career began a decade ago, did a 30-day stint in a trauma recovery program for anger issues resulting from childhood abuse in 2007. After that he received follow-up treatment in Hawaii -- some of which apparently didn't take.
