In George Brian Boedecker, Jr.’s mind, Taylor Swift is singing about him in her new single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ Boedecker, one of the founders of Crocs, Inc. — you know, those boating clogs — was arrested on suspicion of DUI over the weekend. He was passed out behind the wheel of his Porsche and he blamed the drama on his “girlfriend” Taylor Swift, claiming it was she who was driving his sweet ride and left him there.

Boedecker, 51, was both intoxicated and uncooperative when arrested on Saturday (Aug. 11), according to The Denver Post. A witness called cops upon finding him passed out in his car with the engine running after 5PM. The car was parked partly on the sidewalk and he reeked of booze. He slurred his speech and claimed to be taking a nap before a big event, but couldn’t get the details right.

Here’s where Swift comes in. He said she was driving, but they got into a fight so she bounced. He told the cops his girlfriend is a “really (expletive) famous” singer, asking the officer if he knew who Taylor Swift was. He told the cop that Swift, his reported girlfriend, had left him and split for Nashville.

While Swift is famous for her relationships and often writes about her exes in her songs – like she did in ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ — something tells us she won’t be penning a tune about leaving her much-older boyfriend by the side of the road in Denver, since we’d bet she’s not only never met Boedecker, much less dated him! She probably doesn’t wear those less-than-fashionable, utilitarian shoes, either.
