I have a bad habit. When I replace a pair of shoes, I don't get rid of the old ones. I'm always thinking "what if I need something to paint in?" Truth is, I haven't painted anything in like 20 years. So the question remains, what to do with the ones (probably 5 or 6 pairs) that are taking up space in my closet? I could donate them to Victoria Animal Control for their shoe drive.

Beginning today (Tuesday, March 15) through May 15, Victoria Animal Control is collecting new and gently used shoes to raise money for VAC. The organization Funds2Orgs buys the shoes, and the proceeds go to Animal Control.

Funds2Orgs donates the shoes to partners in developing countries, and in turn helps impoverished people start businesses and help them grow.

Shoes can be donated the Victoria Animal Control, located at 122 Perimeter Rd.
