And just like that, the nominees for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards have been unveiled, and to the surprise of no one, Drake and Cardi B are among the typically star-studded award show's most nominated.

In the list of nominees, which MTV revealed earlier today (July 16), Drizzy's name pops up a whopping seven times. His nominations include Video of the Year ("God's Plan") and Song of the Year ("God's Plan"), among a few others he's received for his hit single. Needless to say, Drizzy, who dropped off his Scorpion album last month, put in some serious record-breaking work this year, so these nominations only continue what's pretty much an annual tradition for the Toronto superstar.

Leading all nominees, though, is Bardi, who's nominated for Best Artist, Best New Artist, Best Hip-Hop ("Bartier Cardi" featuring 21 Savage), Video of the Year (Bruno Mars' “Finesse (Remix)”) and several more. After dropping off a stellar debut album (Invasion of Privacy) and recently giving birth to a baby with her husband Offset, a flood of VMA nominations is a pretty awesome cherry on top of all the many things she's got to be happy about.

Holding things down in nearly as big a way as Bardi are The Carters—the hip-hop/R&B super-group comprised of Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé. While dropping off their debut joint album, Everything Is Love, the two pop culture icons also unloaded their ultra-inventive visual for "Apeshit." In the video, they took the unprecedented step of filming a music video in Paris' Louvre Museum. It's no wonder The Carters were nominated for Video of the Year, as well as seven other categories.

Other big-name nominees include Childish Gambino, Nicki Minaj, 2018 XXL Freshman Lil Pump (Best New Artist) and more. The show will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City at 8 p.m. on Aug. 20.
