Drake is following in the footsteps of fellow Canadian Justin Bieber and working on earning his high school diploma. The rapper will reportedly earn his certificate by summer’s end.

According to The Boombox, the Toronto native told NOW magazine that he’s working on his education and hopes to finish his studies soon. ”I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school,” he said. “That’s my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that.”

The talented 24-year-old opted to pursue his acting career during his teen years, landing a role on the TV series ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation.’ In 2006, Drizzy released his first mixtape, and then dropped his debut album, ‘Thank Me Later,’ in 2010. The rest is history.

The third-annual OVO Fest will take place on Sunday, Aug. 5 in Toronto. The show will feature performances from The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz. “Bringing together the 3rd Annual OVO Fest is such a milestone for me,” Drake said in a statement. “A lot has happened over the last three years — a journey that I’m so grateful for — but it’s always coming home and performing for my hometown that means the most. This year, we’re going to bring it just like we do every year-with high energy and music at its best.”
