Dustin Hoffman, the actor who took a role in 'Tootsie' because he was upset that women are judged for their aesthetic appeal, faced cancer and then beat it, according to his rep. He is now in good health.

"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," talking head Jodi Gottlieb revealed to People. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."

Gottlieb also revealed that Hoffman will undergo further treatments over the next few years to minimize the chance of the cancer returning.

She then refused to reveal any more information about the type of cancer the 75-year-old actor was diagnosed with or the type of treatment he underwent.

Cancer or age have not deterred Hoffman in his career. He's set to start filming Roald Dahl's 'Esio Trot' opposite Dame Judi Dench in the fall and will star in the feature film 'Boys Choir' later in the year orin eearly 2014.

Us? We're just over the moon that he got a bill of clean health.
