Have You Voted for a Hurricane Harvey Hero Yet?

Dr. George Boozalis and Victoria Eye Center are getting ready to award free LASIK Vision Correction to three local heroes of Hurricane Harvey, but time is nearing an end to vote for your favorite.

The annual Eyes On Our Heroes campaign recognizes first-responders in our community, but this year, local heroes from Hurricane Harvey will be honored. There are six finalists, and you can visit the Victoria Eye Center Facebook page here to vote on who you think is most deserving.

Finalists range from linemen who worked incredibly long hours restoring power to affected residents and a K-9 Officer credited for saving three stranded residents, to a fire department medic and a Texas State Guard member who assisted in rescues.

Voting closes at 11:59pm on Thursday, August 16th.

Regardless of which three finalists win, we think everyone who helped during Hurricane Harvey are all heroes!
