On Oct. 6, 2013, model and actress Jaime King welcomed a baby boy with husband Kyle Newman, almost six years after they tied the knot in 2007.

But the road to have a family wasn't an easy one for the 35-year-old 'Hart of Dixie' star.

In an open post on Instagram, King reveals that she suffered through five miscarriages, five rounds of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and 26 rounds of IUIs (Intrauterine insemination) before she and her husband were able to have a successful pregnancy, and even that one wasn't without its hardships.

King posted a photo with the text, "For all the struggling women & mom's out there who think they are alone- This is truth about conceiving my son and struggles after. 8 yrs of pain & undiagnosed PCOS & Endometriosis. 9 doctors until Dr. Randy Harris diagnosed me & saved my life from a severe ectopic, 5 miscarriages, 5 rounds of IVF, 26 IUIs, most with no outcome, 4-1/2 years of trying to conceive, 26 hours of brutal labor, early delivery b/c of sudden preeclampsia, tearing and tearing after the stitches were in once I was home, milk supply issue,s painful mastitis, uncontrollable crying while breastfeeding, worked until the day before I have birth and went back after 6 weeks after because I was afraid of letting others down."

She then captioned her photo with the hashtag: "#youarenotalone #ihavetobebravetosupportothers"

King's post was met with thanks as some women shared their own person struggles.

One fan wrote, "i am trying to put into works how much it means to me to see someone in the public eye be so honest & open about a struggle that effect ions millions world wide. A struggle that is by many considered not a polite topic of conversation. ... Thank you. xx"
