John Rich has gone where Bret Michaels, Piers Morgan and Joan Rivers have gone before him. The country singer joined that trio by winning the 'The Celebrity Apprentice' Sunday night, beating out fellow finalist Marlee Matlin.

For his victory, Rich took home $250,000 for his charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Rich edged out Matlin in the final challenge, presenting a better retro ad campaign for 7Up. He won raves for his spot, which featured Twisted Sister's Dee Snider undergoing a change to his '80s persona after enjoying the soft drink.

Rich also made the most of a potentially bad situation when Def Leppard, whom he brought in to help at a concert, was not ready to go on stage when they were announced. Rich hopped on stage and performed himself, getting some chuckles along the way by belting out a little ditty he called 'Don’t Fire Me Mr. Trump.'

In the end, several of the fired stars from this season felt Rich deserved the win because he had such a great run this season. He also scored points because he showed how passionate he was about the St. Jude charity, with whom he’s worked for 15 years.
