Years ago (I won't say exactly how long), I was working in the promotions department of a Detroit radio station. Now, before you say to yourself "how cool", I was the poor sap who had to don a vinyl, bumper sticker covered, chicken-wire framed station mascot head that was unbearably hot. Part of my job was to go to concerts and pass out bumper stickers.

Now, keep in mind that the suit was so uncomfortable, that we'd leave once the bands started so, we never got to stay to enjoy it. One of the concerts we had to work that summer was Journey.

Now that I'm no longer wearing the ridiculous Rocky the X Pup outfit, I can see a show and actually enjoy it. So, now that Journey is on tour, I can make up for the show I missed.

Journey is touring with the Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason this year, and they'll be at the Austin 360 Amphitheater Wednesday, May 18th and at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at The Woodlands Saturday, May 21st.  For tickets, click here.
