Turns out, Kanye West wasn't kidding when he attempted to swipe Beck's 2015 Grammy Award for Album of the Year last night.

Much like the time he notoriously yanked the mic from Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs to declare that Beyonce should have taken home the honor, Yeezy spoke to E! News last night to reveal that yep, pretty much the same thing should have happened at the Grammys. Yikes.

"If the Grammys … want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more," Kanye declared last night (check out the video above). "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyonce."

"When you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music you're disrespectful to inspiration," he continued.

"… I'm not gonna do nothing that would put my daughter at risk, but I am going to fight for creativity. That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight," he revealed. "But y'all know what it meant when Ye walked on that stage."

It's official: Kanye West is the biggest Beyonce stan to grace this earth.

As for Beck's reaction to Kanye's comments, well, he took them in stride.

"I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody," Beck told Us Weekly. "How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?"

"I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce," he continued. And to top it all off, he has no hard feelings against Kanye for pulling the stunt.

"You can't please everybody, man," he said. "I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
