To say we were excited for Kesha's new single, 'Die Young,' would be an understatement. It's been two years since we heard new music from the whiskey enthusiast, and it's been well worth the wait.

With a melody and rhythm reminiscent of Kesha collaborator Flo Rida's 'Good Feeling,' K-Dollar Sign encourages a new companion to seize the night and live it up while they still can. The chorus is a breakdown with a raw, almost tribal-meets-garage sound, in which the singer has gang vocal chants in tandem with an "oh-whoa" harmony, "I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums / It's such a shame that you came here with someone / So while you're here in my arms / Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young."

Despite the track's fun loving message, there's also an urgency at play that suggests the pair may actually do as the title suggests, even when she sings, "We'll keep dancing til we die," perhaps a subtle nod to Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' title track.

The guitars and rock n' roll spirit that Kesha promised would be themes on her second album, 'Warrior,' are all here -- as is the noticeable lack of Auto-Tune for her vocals (which she teased in Tokyo). And guess what, you guys? She doesn't need it.

Though the song may have fared better chart-wise if it were a summer release (it may be too chilly to blast it with the windows down now), don't let the cool weather stop you. If you're going to die young, your life will probably be a lot happier if you spend it listening to 'Die Young.'
