Kesha was not messing around when she picked out collaborators for her sophomore album. The ‘Tik Tok’ songstress, who already released snippets and a collaboration with Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, confirmed that none other than the oft-shirtless rocker Iggy Pop will also appear on the record. The “cock pop” singer hasn’t given any info on what kind of track to expect from the punk icon, but based on what we’ve heard so far, we imagine a lot of guitar, grit and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Earlier today, a new song called ‘Pretty Lady‘ leaked, which was an ode to dudes who look (and dress) like ladies, featured cameos from actual drag queens Detox and Lady Lloyd in the bridge.

K-Dollar-Sign tweeted about the dream-come-true collabo.

Her collaborators and her moving Bob Dylan cover seem perfectly in line with Kesha’s ultimate objective: to resurrect rock ‘n’ roll. “I feel like I don’t necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music,” Kesha said back in January. “That’s the goal. We’ll see what happens. That’s a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that’s my goal.”

“I’ve been pretty much in this ’70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is,” Kesha said of her new direction. “And that’s just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f—, so we’ll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it.”
