‘Little Shop of Horrors’ was a 1986 music comedy about a blood-thirsty, foul-mouthed flesh-eating plant and the meek florist who raised it. With a new Blu-ray edition out that features the original, darker ending, we were wondering what the cast is up to today.

The film was an adaptation of the stage play ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ which in turn was a remake of the the 1960 low-budget Roger Corman camp-fest ‘The Little Shop of Horrors.’

Somewhere along that journey the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ became a hot commodity and director Frank Oz was able to put together a terrific cast for the movie.

Check out what all these singing actors are up to these days below.

Rick Moranis, Seymour Krelborn

Then: Moranis was nerdy florist Seymour Krelborn in ‘Little Shop Of Horrors.’ Two years earlier he played another memorable geeky character, Louis Tully, in ‘Ghostbusters.’ The former SCTV star is also known for his work in the cult classics’ ‘The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew’ and ’Spaceballs.’

Now: Moranis’ most famous role is probably as the dad in the ’Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’ franchise. The 59-year-old, who lost his wife to cancer in 1991, retired from the entertainment industry in 1997 so he could raise his real-life kids. He still does occasional voice work, and released a comedy album called ‘The Agoraphobic Cowboy.’ It is rumored that he will come out of semi-retirement to reprise his Louis Tully role if there is a ‘Ghostbusters 3.’

Ellen Greene, Audrey

Then: In what has been her most famous role to date, Ellen Greene played Seymour’s ditsy crush Audrey in ‘Little Shop Of Horrors.’ The-then 35-year-old was much better known for her theater work and had previously portrayed Audrey in the stage version of ‘Little Shop Of Horrors.’

Now: Greene was Vivian Charles on ‘Pushing Daisies’ from 2007 until the series was cancelled in 2009. She did a stint on the soap opera ‘The Young and The Restless’ in 2011 and popped up on the ABC Family series ‘Bunheads’ in 2012.

Then: Murray had a small role as a masochistic man in search of long, slow root canal in ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’ (Jack Nicholson played a similar part in the Corman film.) The then-35-year-old was already a well-established comedic force, thanks to films such as ‘Stripes,’ ‘Caddyshack’ and ‘Ghostbusters.’

Now: Murray will play Franklin D. Roosevelt in the upcoming biopic ‘Hyde Park on Hudson.’ He is also known on the internet for being generally awesome.
