Local pastor opens up his church for the homeless this Sunday night during the big game. Brother Mike Swearingen is the pastor at Rushing Wind Fellowship. He is a biker with Bikers For Christ.

Sunday he opened up the shelter to have a Super Bowl Cookout for the homeless. He set it up on a projection screen. Delicious sausage, hamburgers and pork chops with snacks were served and then a sleep over.

He operates a food pantry there regularly at the church. Also, during the cold times he shelters the homeless and he feeds them a hot dinner and a breakfast. He keeps cots for them to sleep on and tries to keep new or gently used sleeping bags there so they have their own to keep. If you would like to donate they are in need of sleeping bags, canned goods, snack items, socks, and underwear. Anything is always appreciated.
