Every year, fans all across the world are excited to see who's going to grace the MTV Video Music Awards stage, all in hopes that their favorite artist will put on a show. Logic already has a career-defining performance at the 2018 VMAs under his belt, which makes his set this year can't-miss TV. For this go-round on Monday night (Aug. 20), Logic performed "One Day," his latest single with Ryan Tedder, who also joined him for the performance.

The set started out with a darkened stage with Ryan Tedder playing a piano as smoke surrounded him. Then Logic walked through the lobby of Radio City Music Hall, donning a "F*ck the Wall" shirt, as he headed to the stage to perform "One Day" with more than 200 children, siblings and parents who were recently affected by the immigration laws under President Trump's watch. Upon a closer look, the children's shirts read "We Are All Human Beings," proving Logic is taking a stand.

The background graphics on stage showed yellow tape with "U.S. Border Patrol" on it, a clear reference to America's borders and the many children being ripped from their families by President Trump. When the performance ended, candles were held high and everyone onstage embraced.

Logic worked with National Domestic Workers Alliance, United We Dream and Make the Road New York in an effort to recruit real families for his moving performance. Just last week, Logic dropped the video for his single "One Day," which faces the issue of racism in the United States. He also touched down at Chicago's Lollapalooza earlier this month and has roughly seven projects worth of songs in the stash.
