Even Mickey Guyton herself can't really believe it -- but she's engaged! The rising country singer-songwriter shared the good news on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 9).

"So ... I'm not one to really talk about my relationship because I can be pretty private when it comes to matters of my heart. But here we are, and this took me completely by surprise," Guyton writes, sharing a photo of her marquise-cut diamond ring, perched atop a pink diary with the words "can't even" in cursive on the front. "It's not about finding the perfect person. It's about finding someone that you can go thru heaven and hell with."

In an interview with Taste of Country at the 2015 ACM Awards, Guyton revealed that her fiance (then boyfriend), whose name she has not shared, is a lawyer. The couple has been dating long distance for four years.

“He started his own law firm,” Guyton says. “He’s a broke lawyer like I’m a broke artist. So we’re broke together. I think that’s what makes us so happy together.”

Fans know Guyton for lovelorn songs such as "Better Than You Left Me," her first single, and "Heartbreak Song," her most recent -- but don't worry: They're not inspired by her now-fiance! Rather, that boyfriend was the guy before Guyton's soon-to-be husband.

Guyton has not shared any wedding specifics. “Heartbreak Song,” as well as Guyton's debut EP, is available for download on iTunes. She's currently working on her debut album.
