Minor Leaguer’s Dad Catches His Son’s First Home Run of the Year [VIDEOS]

This guy’s first home run of the season will probably wind up being the most memorable.

Houston Astros prospect Conrad Gregor launch his first dinger of the year for the Quad City River Bandits (of Davenport, Iowa) on Saturday. Not that interesting, right? Well, what is interesting is that his father caught the ball after it cleared the rightfield fence.

Even more interesting is Gregor’s father had driven five hours from the family home in Indiana to see Gregor play. Cue the “awww” comments.

And you thought you had a good Memorial Day weekend with your family. This is a tough one to top.
