Miranda Lambert Still Hates Chris Brown and Nothing Will Change Her Mind

Country singer Miranda Lambert didn’t like Chris Brown last year when she lambasted him on Twitter for winning two Grammys — and she doesn’t like him any better now.

This is of course why we love Miranda Lambert: not only for sticking to her convictions, but also for her relentless pursuit of Chris Brown.

This time Lambert brought up Brown during her interview in Redbook, saying that even though Rihanna has forgiven him, the world shouldn’t.

“He beat a girl … not cool that we act like that didn’t happen,” she told the magazine. “I didn’t feel right about not saying something. The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think.”

At a concert last year, Lambert held up a sign featuring the words “Take Notes Chris Brown” before performing her song ‘Gunpowder and Lead,’ which is about a woman plotting to kill her abusive ex-husband.

As for those post-Grammy tweets, she said, “I wanted everyone to know that I don’t agree with the message it’s sending to young women. It’s not okay. At all.”

“To be celebrated after doing something like that. I don’t think it’s right, I never will, and I will stand by what I said till the day I die,” Lambert concluded to the applause inside our own heads.

Lambert’s interview with Redbook hits newsstands today (Jan. 8). Have you hugged a magazine lately?
