The Brits are coming to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Emerging U.K. boy band One Direction will be performing their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ during the March 31 awards ceremony.

The group announced the televised gig in a press release, which also noted that One Direction will host the Saturday night block of programming on Nickelodeon throughout the month of March, providing behind-the-scenes footage from their concert tour with Big Time Rush.

“One Direction is performing on the Kids’ Choice Awards for the first time and it’s going to be scream-worthy,” said Paula Kaplan, an executive producer of the Kids’ Choice Awards. “While on tour with Big Time Rush, we have seen their popularity explode, and we are excited to introduce them to our audience during the month of March with exclusive access to the guys leading up to our biggest event of the year.”

‘What Makes You Beautiful’ recently captured the prestigious Best British Single title at the 2012 BRIT Awards, and it debuted at No. 28 in its first week of U.S. release. One Direction’s first album, ‘Up All Night,’ hits U.S. retailers on March 13. The group will also appear on an episode of ‘iCarly‘ later this year.
