French President Nicolas Sarkozy, 56, and his wife, First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, 43, have welcomed their first child together. Their daughter, whose name is not yet known, was born Wednesday night in Paris at about 8 p.m. local time.

Although Sarkozy has three children from two previous marriages and Bruni-Sarkozy has one from a previous relationship, their little girl is the first tot to be born to a ruling French leader since Napoleon.

But if you’re hoping to see photos, you may be disappointed — Bruni-Sarkozy, who married her husband in 2008, has previously said the couple wouldn’t be releasing pictures of the baby because she doesn’t feel the French people are that interested in the child.
