The widow of Roger W. Rodas, driver in the fatal crash that killed Paul Walker, is suing Porsche in a wrongful death lawsuit.

‘Fast & Furious’ fans were shocked and saddened when the news broke last November that Paul had been killed in a fiery car accident, leaving behind a teenage daughter and a half-filmed role in ‘Fast & Furious 7.’ Rodas, tragically, also left behind two young children.

Six months following the accident, Kristine M. Rodas is preparing to fight Porsche Cars North America in court on behalf of her late husband.

Per Time, Rodas is alleging that design flaws in the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that crashed last November were the cause of her husband and Paul’s deaths. According to Rodas’ lawsuit, the sports car lacked a suitable crash cage and appropriate safety features in the gas tank. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that a failure in the vehicle’s suspension system caused it to swerve out of control and hit multiple trees.

Rodas is also asserting that her husband had been driving at an acceptable speed of 55 MPH at the time of the incident, despite official California Highway Patrol documents previously reporting that Roger Rodas had been driving at an unsafe speed. The conflicting reports will most likely lead to a long and drawn-out trial.

Best wishes to both the Rodas and Walker families during this difficult time.
