Rihanna is a fan of Adele, but not of ’21.’ The Bajan beauty revealed that Adele’s monster hit is too somber for her tastes.

RiRi revealed that she adores the Brit chanteuse, but finds listening to the ‘Someone Like You’ singer’s sophomore effort is too difficult for her. “It’s hard to say a (favorite) track,” the ‘We Found Love’ songstress told Jonathan Ross (quotes via the Toronto Sun). “The last album ’21′ just spoke to me so much — to the point where I had to stop listening to it ’cause it was depressing me so much. You become so attached to the stories, it’s really something you identify with.”

“Really I came to the Brits to stalk Adele. It was nothing about the awards or the performance, for me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn’t know the depth of my affection, just the surface. She has no idea.”

Perhaps Rihanna feels the lyrics strike too close to home because of her difficulty getting over her ex, Chris Brown — with whom she may reunite, despite his relationship with model Karrueche Tran. “There are still feelings between them both and they do still speak with each other quite often,” the source said two weeks ago. “The times they have been in the same building at the clubs the last couple weeks were never a coincidence. They always know where each other will be and would hang out more but they don’t want to be photographed together.”

Regardless of the lyrical content (some just like to dig deeper than songs about, say, ‘Birthday Cake‘), Rihanna admits she’s pretty much obsessed with Adele. “Really I came to the Brits to stalk Adele,” she joked. “It was nothing about the awards or the performance, for  me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn’t know the depth of my affection, just the surface. She has no idea.”
