Diamonds are not just a girl's best friend. Rihanna's upcoming world tour is named 'Diamonds,' and so is her upcoming first single from her seventh album, due in November. RiRi works fast, delivering an album a year! 'Diamonds' is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 8AM ET on Elvis Duran's radio show in NYC.

RiRi revealed this big news during a chat with Duran at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas this weekend. When he said that he'd be pushing the button and debuting the song on Hump Day, RiRi rolled her eyes, then joked he was able to do the reveal because he is her "lover." It was an awkward moment, to say the least.

When asked what the mood of the song would be, RiRi said, "You're not sad. You're happy and hippie. It's hopeful. It gives me a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are hopeful and positive. It's about love and the gears are different than what people will expect."

Ri continued to explain the song, saying, "I love good music, I love great music. When I make an album, that's what I think about, what I love to hear. That's what my fans love," she added. "I want to make it interesting, fresh, ahead of what's on the radio. That's the challenge for me."

With that description, we can't wait to hear what 'Diamonds' sounds like. We'll be tuning in on Wednesday morning for sure.
