In the latest edition of the The Late Late Show's "Carpool Karaoke," host James Corden was joined by the legendary Rod Stewart. If you thought splitting a ride via UberPool brought colorful characters out of the woodwork, you've clearly yet to take a ride aboard Corden's traveling bandstand.

In the clip above, the two immediately kick off the concert-on-wheels by humming through "The First Cut is the Deepest." Soon, their conversation cuts through the tunes as if they're old friends catching up.

Stewart, who says hist most rock 'n' roll moments include "drinking and shagging and the drinking and the shagging," admits there was a point in his career at which he was banned from all Holiday Inns, and began to book rooms under the pseudonym Fleetwood Mac (ever heard of 'em?).

One person who could probably give Stewart a run for his partying-moneyA$AP Rocky, and when the two artists' collaboration, "Everyday," comes on the radio, Rocky shows up out of nowhere and completes the trio you never knew you needed, but are probably giddy to have discovered.

"I don't know if I've ever felt as cool as I do in this moment, right now, in my life. I genuinely don't," Corden says. Can't say we blame the man!

Corden has previously invited Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber and Jennifer Hudson into his car for some pretty memorable performances.
