Stefano Langone Eliminated From ‘American Idol’
On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez said, “It’s getting down to the wire and it’s time to bring out the big guns.” That statement will become more relevant as each week goes by.
We’re now down to the top 6, as ‘American Idol’s’ wild card pick, Stefano Langone — who made it very far in the competition after nearly being eliminated a handful of times — was eliminated from competition on Thursday.
It was another jam-packed elimination show, as we got to see the contestants go to an L.A. Dodgers game, have some fun at bowling, get the full spa treatment and lasso some clouds. And if that wasn’t enough, we also saw performances from ‘Idol’ season 7 winner David Cook and superstars Katy Perry and Kanye West.
Once again, the contestants did not perform as one large group. Instead, trio Casey Abrams, Scotty McCreery and James Durbin sang Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida,’ while Jacob Lusk, Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart and Stefano Langone sang Train’s ‘Hey Soul Sister.’
The bottom three consisted of Jacob Lusk, who was the first to be informed and sat by himself on the “lonely chairs” for a long time. He was later followed by repeat bottom three visitors Stefano and Haley Reinhart. But before Haley even had a chance to get comfortable in her seat amongst the bottom three, Ryan Seacrest whispered in her ear that she too was safe.
Much like Paul last week, Stefano left us on a positive note; he had a good attitude and was eager to sing one last time on the ‘Idol’ stage.
Do you feel Stefano Langone deserved to be eliminated? Will you miss his soaring, pleading voice? Do you think he has a successful career ahead of him?
