Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run but we definitely haven't heard the last of the embattled former Death Row head honcho. Following his son's recent claims that Tupac Shakur is "back in the studio," the elder Knight is insisting he is holding onto new music from the late rap icon that will eventually be released.

Suge is currently serving his time at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, Calif., and spoke with DailyMail on Friday (Feb. 1). Despite losing control of the Death Row label in 2008, he claims to still have the rights to some 'Pac tracks that have never been heard by the public.

"[It's] not that they was bad songs but those are songs that Pac didn't want to be out on an album or want to be out," Knight said.

Suge said there is enough material to make an album and he is already eyeing some A-list artists to add verses to the material. "When it's time to do a real Tupac album, you get the right people that work with him, that he would work with, you know, like Drake or... Beyonce likes Tupac music," Suge added. "He would definitely appreciate to see her with him and Cardi B is probably the most aggressive entertainer in the biz today. And I think she's the female version of Tupac. Tupac with a skirt. Yeah."

Suge's son, J. Knight, is attempting to revive his father's former label as New Death Row Records. He also spoke with DailyMail and insisted, "I'm definitely going to bring new Tupac music for you guys. I don't want to be out in the category of conspiracy theorists."

He added, "Trust me. Tupac is good, Tupac is good."

In 2018, J made claims that 'Pac is alive and living in Malaysia.
