Jay-Z can add one more job title to his resume. The rap executive was hired as the Director of the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to the New York Post. The new position appeared in documents filed by arena owners, including Jay-Z, in hopes to secure a liquor license.

A New York man now faces a whopping $50,000 bail after police said he tried to rob a convenience store of 99 cents.

Christopher Tisley, a 34-year-old Brooklyn resident, sauntered into the store at about 3 a.m. on Saturday with a gun and ordered the clerk to hand over the change, according to police.

A Brooklyn woman called to serve jury duty in the death penalty trial of New York city mob boss Vincent Basciano may not have been being entirely honest when she wrote in her jury questionnaire that the people she least admired were "African-Americans, Hispanics and Haitians," and that police officers are "lazy."

It isn't uncommon for potential jurors to put offensive statements in their questionnaire in hopes that will get them disqualified from the trial, and Juror 799 was removed from the Basciano case.
