U2′s Bono Goes to Hospital for Routine Checkup, Not Chest Pains

Last year, Bono‘s emergency back surgery in Germany had the U2 fan base worried about his welfare.

There was an entirely different kind of concern for Bono over the weekend, when reports circulated that he was treated for chest pains last week at a hospital in Monaco. U2 fans can rest easy, though: It was just a routine checkup, according to a spokeswoman for the 51-year-old singer.

After her parents nipped her horse-owning dreams in the bud, German-based Regina Mayer didn't give up.

Instead of begging and pleading as most young ones do, she decided to take matters into her own hand by training Luna, one of the family's cows.

Mayer spent hours with the brown-and-white cow, teaching it how to run, jump hurdles and respond to commands like "go," "stand" and "gallop." The massive cow can even be ridden with a saddle.

Now, Lehman is suing Wiese for telling a newspaper reporter that Lehmann should "go to the 'Muppet Show'" and be treated "on a couch."

And it wasn't as if Wiese's barbs were without provocation: They were actually in direct response to criticism Lehman has levied against Wiese when Lehman was working as a television commentator.

Nearly a quarter of a century ago, a young German boy named Frank Uesbeck wrote a message, stuffed it into a bottle and threw it out to sea. This year, he finally received a reply.

The bottle was discovered by 13-year-old Daniil Korotkikh, a Russian boy who was walking along the beach with his parents when a glint in the sand caught his attention. There, he discovered a corked German beer bottle with a piece of paper inside. Fortunately, Korotkikh's father was able to read German and translated the message.
