Hulk smashed, apparently.

We've heard rumors of a 'Planet Hulk' movie since early last year, but everyone from Joss Whedon to Mark Ruffalo have denied those claims. And, here's the thing: they're right (sort of). There won't be a Planet Hulk movie (sort of). But, it's what Whedon, Ruffalo and Marvel aren't telling you about the future of Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that prove there is some truth to the 'Planet Hulk' rumors after all. About a month ago, news broke that Marvel had big plans for Hulk, and that they might be sending him to outer space at the end of 'The Avengers 2' in anticipation of a 'Planet Hulk'-style movie. Alas, those rumors have been debunked today.

One of the breakout stars of 'The Avengers' was Mark Ruffalo and his turn as the Hulk. He was the third actor to take on the role, but between the actor and Joss Whedon's writing and directing, the character finally clicked. After the release, many people mentioned wanting a new Hulk movie, but if that comes to pass it's going to be a long wait.
