Students at Evergreen Park High School in Illinois may be well-advised to avoid excessive water intake — or find themselves with longer school days.

Some teachers there have implemented a policy of allowing each student only three bathroom visits during class each semester. Any subsequent visits require students to make up the class time later in the day.

The high price of gas seems to have gotten to Karleena Kempf.

Police in Galesburg, Illinois arrested the 35-year-old woman Saturday on charges of stealing gas from the same service station on eight different occasions between May 19 and June 10.

Thieves in Yorkville, Illinois have made off with a cache of 2,500 rubber duckies, which they stole from a police academy building of all places.

The Yorkville Citizen's Police Academy sells the rubber duckies for a few dollars each during an annual sale, with the proceeds going to buy equipment for the Yorkville Police Department.

Doing your taxes is a pain, and many people put off their preparation until right before the mid-April filing date. Chicago man Irving Przyborski is certainly grateful he got a bit of a jump on his 2010 taxes .

That's because when Przyborski went into his tax files last week, he found a lottery ticket he had bought almost a year before among the paperwork. When Przyborski checked the numbers, he realized he was a winner to the tune of $9 million dollars!
