Even though it took place several years ago, we all remember the big late-night showdowns that saw Jay Leno stepping down from the throne of 'The Tonight Show,' only to develop his own series immediately before Conan O'Brien's hosting turn, which ultimately saw the whole thing implode and returned Leno where he started. Now, new rumors suggest that Leno will finally step down in 2014 to be replaced by his 'Late Night' successor Jimmy Fallon, but is there any truth to the new late-night war on the horizon?

Over the weekend, talk-show host Conan O'Brien gave the commencement speech at Dartmouth College. Not surprisingly, the self-deprecating funnyman began his speech by stating how ridiculous it was that "a television talk show host" had been selected to impart wisdom.

Even less surprising was that Conan's speech turned out to be really good. He touched on the tough job market and the unfairness of life, and told the crowd that, while they shouldn't fear failure, they should "do their very best to avoid it."
