Scientists at the University of Tokyo’s Ishikawa Oku Laboratory have developed a robot that will never lose a game of rock, paper, scissors.
Origami, the Japanese art of folding paper, is impressive enough on its own, let alone when it’s done in miniature form. Yet that’s what artist Anja Markiewicz does, creating amazingly tiny sculptures of things like animals and snowflakes out of paper less than an inch in width.
Rock, paper, scissors. A classic decision making activity. It’s more reliable than the Magic 8 Ball. It helps decide who will sit in the front seat, who’s turn it is to grab a beer and who has to do the dishes, just to name a few.
