A family law judge in Texas is now under investigation after his daughter posted a video of him beating her with a viciously beating her in 2004 for downloading music and games off the internet. The nearly eight minute video shows the judge whipping his daughter with a belt and getting more irate as she refuses to bend over the bed to get beaten.

If there’s one man in this world you should respect, it would be your father. If you don’t respect him, well, hey, that’s your business. If you’re interested in getting on his good side come this Father’s Day, however, I’ve got a few suggestions for you that could help you out in that department at the very least.

Face it, dads get some of the crappiest jobs in the world when it comes to raising kids. That gross thing you did to make a gross mess when you were five? He cleaned it up. That time you decided to try and cut your own hair when you were seven? He was the one who had to either fix it or find a barber that wouldn’t laugh at you while he fixed it so as to not bruise your fragile little seven –year-old ego. That cat you said you’d love forever and clean up after always? He’s the one who had to clean up the gross hairballs and feed after you locked it in the closet and said it had run away.

Face it, your dad’s been there this whole time for you. Why not take a little time this Father’s Day and make his month just a little bit better by showing him how much you love him.

With the South Texas Summer heat bearing down on us, it’s easy to forget there’s an outside world when we work, and often play, indoors. It’s easy to just prop your feet up when you get home and try to convince your dog there’s no need to go outside until that blazing hot sun goes down.

And we wonder why we’re packing on those extra pounds.

Getting out and about with your pooch is a good way to get rid of your “pooch”. Besides the obvious benefits for you and your dog from the exercise, it’s a good way to make sure your pet doesn’t start to feel unappreciated.

It’s also a great way to meet new people if you’re into that sort of thing. You’ll be healthier, your pet will be happier, and your social life might just get a boost. What’s not to like?

With those points in mind, I sat down with Thor, the Dog of Thunder, and asked him about his favorite things to do. Don’t judge me.
