If there is one thing we know about Taylor Swift, she’s as wholesome as a glass of milk. She’s the kind of girl you want to bring home to mom or take as your date to a…wedding! She’s not the type to embarrass you by downing shots and ripping off her top when the DJ starts spinning ‘It’s Raining Men’ at the reception.

However, Swift’s presence on the arm of her boyfriend Conor Kennedy was not desired at a family wedding in New England over the weekend. In fact, the mother of the bride asked Swift and Kennedy to stay away and when they ignored her warning and crashed the wedding, she requested that they leave.

That’s not Swift’s side o’ the story, though! It’s evolving into a good ol’ fashioned case of “He said, she said.” Here’s the Reader’s Digest version of the players and the events of this drama.

According to the The Boston Herald, Swift and her new BF Conor, the grandson of RFK, crashed the wedding of his cousin, Kyle, a move that was met with ire from the bride’s mother, Victoria. Despite the fact that she asked them to go after causing a disruption in the lobby, where fans asked for pics and autographs from Swift, they stayed!

While Conor was indeed invited to the nuptials, he never bothered to RSVP, and therefore his presence was unwanted. Etiquette, people! You’d think a blue-blooded Kennedy would be well-versed in manners.

When Kennedy texted on the day of to see if he could come, Victoria claims she asked them not to show up, so as not to steal the spotlight from the bride. When they arrived, she personally asked them to hightail it outta there.

“[Conor and Taylor] texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come,” Victoria said. “I responded with a very clear, ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway. … I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”

Ghostliness aside, Swift’s rep put forth a different spin, er, side of the story, saying there was no truth to those claims and that “Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.”

Swift and Kennedy left the festivities during dinner.

The ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ singer seems hellbent on getting close to her BF’s family. Is she a Stage 5 clinger, the type we saw in the movie ‘Wedding Crashers?’ Nah! She’s just a sweet girl who wants to get to know the fam.

According to TMZ, she and Conor engaged in another family event, this one more intimate and personal. They visited his mother Mary’s grave on Aug. 21. She passed away back in May after battling depression and other issues.
