When Taylor Swift puts out a song, everyone has an opinion: The music critic, the diehard fan, the hater (who's gonna hate, hate hate) -- and yes, the person who inspired the track.

Throughout Taylor's entire career as a songwriter, she has written tunes based on her personal experiences, life events that she has articulated so eloquently that fans from all over the world have echoed the same sentiment: She gets it. Through her raw talent and clever lyrics, Taylor Swift has managed to put into words what so many of us are feeling -- especially about relationships -- but could never express so articulately. (If there's a woman out there who hasn't had her heart ripped out while listening to 'All Too Well,' I haven't met you.)

Of course, as Taylor's fame grew -- and her personal relationships became highly publicized -- everyone (yes, ourselves included) became increasingly obsessed with the backstories behind the songs. And when you're baring as much of your soul to the world as Taylor does with her candid songwriting, that the subjects of the tracks are inevitably going to have their own opinions about the tunes. And they very well may speak out about it.

While we're the first to point out that Taylor has written plenty of songs not about guys, a common thread throughout most of Taylor's music is her relationships with men -- it's how she introduced herself to the world, and in part what makes her so relatable.

From high school boyfriends to high-profile boyfriends (including Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles), to an opinionated critic to an opinionated Kanye, click and scroll through the gallery above to see guys' reactions to Taylor Swift's songs about them. As it turns out, there is a surprising number who have written songs in response.
