TMNT: Out of the Shadows, the most recent adaptation of the 1980s comic book-turned TV series, doesn't hit theaters until this summer — but they've unveiled a teaser ahead of a trailer airing during Super Bowl 50. It sees Megan Fox returning to play reporter-and-friend-to-reptilian-warriors April O'Neil, and provides a glimpse of Arrow star Stephen Amell assuming the role of Casey Jones. For those keeping track of the sequel to the 2014 film, the teaser mostly recycles footage from the first trailer below, with the notable addition of Amell opening a car's trunk to reveal what might be Jones's new costume.

Amell's role as Jones, the vigilante who joins forces with the Turtles and O'Neil, isn't too much of a stretch given that he already plays masked vigilante Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on the CW's popular series. Academy Award nominee Laura Linney joins the sequel's cast, too. But for those of us who grew up on the cartoon in its various incarnations, two cast additions are even more exciting: Tyler Perry and Gary Anthony Williams as longtime Turtle adversaries Baxter Stockman and Bebop, respectively. WWE wrestler Sheamus plays Bebop's cohort Rocksteady.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is set to hit theaters on June 3. While the previous film received generally-middling reviews, the cast and characters are enough to pique our interest.

Plus, it will never be as terrible as 1991's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, which birthed the "Ninja Rap" theme song by Vanilla Ice. Happy throwback Thursday.
