Tegan and Sara have announced their plans to release an eighth studio album later this year called Love You to Death.

The Canadian duo confirmed the news across social media, first urging fans to follow them on Instagram where they posted a series of photos related to the upcoming release. It’s unclear as to whether or not this is a hint as to the final album artwork, but their most recent Instagram post includes a caption that says, “Album cover reveal tomorrow!”

While the album doesn’t drop until June 3, Tegan and Sara are set to release new music on April 8, likely in the form of the album’s lead single.

Love You to Death will act as a follow-up to the duo’s last studio album Heartthrob, which the pair released back in 2013.

The two then developed the Oscar-nominated song "Everything Is Awesome" for the 2014 animated comedy The Lego Movie.

It proved to be a departure from their typical indie-pop releases, but that’s exactly what was so appealing about the song for them.

“We want to be a ‘serious’ musical and, while also being funny people,” said member Sara Quin in an interview with Billboard. “But this was so adorable, and the movie looked great, and the opportunity to do something with Mark Mothersbaugh and the Lonely Island… it was sort of a no-brainer, and it’s turned out to be this really cool moment. We feel like it was a win-win."

Be sure to keep an eye out on Tegan and Sara's social media tomorrow (March 11) to see the full unveiling of the Love You to Death album artwork.
