Sure, it's a age-old excuse but, in this case a true story-a 5 yr old mixed breed named Roscoe really did eat a girl's homework and almost died as a result.

Magnolia West High School student Reagan Hardin was finishing her AP history class project, a model of a Middle Ages farm manor, which included plastic farm animals, grass, wood and metal.

The girl's mother discovered the half-eaten project and immediately took Roscoe to the vet, where doctors used an endoscope to remove the pieces.

So, let that be a lesson to you-sometimes the dog really does eat the homework, and if it's a project lie the one Reagan did, it could seriously hurt the animal. That's another reason to always have the number to your local veterinarian within easy reach.
